Giving Back
Candlewood Gentle Dental believes in being an active, dedicated part of the community, and this manifests in many ways. Every year, our sister office, Bethel Gentle Dental, conducts a candy buy-back program called “Operation Sweet Tooth,” partnering with Bethel High School’s ROTC to collect candy after Halloween and send it to the troops overseas.
Join us this June at the New Fairfield High School for the 2018 Relay for Life. Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. These events bring communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
Our entire staff participates in the Connecticut Mission of Mercy (CTMOM). This is a day of service where we help provide free dentistry to the underserved in our region. In 2015, CTMOM served nearly 2,000 patients and provided over $1.5 million in donated services.
The doctors have also been proud sponsors of various community organizations, such as Bethel youth football, cheerleading, and softball and Bethel women's softball. We have been a Gold sponsor for the Bethel High School newspaper and book covers and hold an annual "Adopt-a-Family" fundraiser for the holidays.
